The way you say it is matrix 6. m6trix is a way of looking at why we must use image rich content, something we’ll call “imagenriching,” to effectively connect spiritual truth with the spiritual yearning of our day. Using visual media to teach spiritual truth is not something new. The current convergence of our high tech tools has heightened our dependency and also has deepened our enmeshment with visual communication. The great spiritual teachers of the past used all sorts of visual cues, stories, and hooks to help convey spiritual truth. The real question is whether we will embrace the visual and use it effectively today. At the same time, many today feel an intense relationship hunger that only authentic community can begin to address. Cramming more anonymous people in a bigger box doesn’t cut it. There has to be more real touch with real people in the world we recognize. We’ll be looking at 6 matrices that should be considered if we want to communicate the Jesus message today. To do this we must be, as Michael Frost & Alan Hirsch have said, “living out the gospel within its cultural context rather than perpetuating an institutional commitment apart from its cultural context.” from The Shaping of Things to Come
